Women's Ministry
Women played a significant role in the life and ministry of Jesus. Jesus led the Samaritan woman to believe in Him and she in turn brought a large number of men and women to Jesus. It was the women at the tomb who were the first to see the risen Lord. These are just two examples of how valued women were to Jesus.
Women are of great value and are a large part of the life and ministries of First Baptist Irving. There are currently five ministries exclusively for and being led by the women of the church.
These ministries are:
Women’s Bible Studies
Women’s Prayer Ministry
Women’s Birthday Brunch
Women’s Mission Trip
Women’s Retreat
All of these ministries have untapped potential for involvement and leadership in reaching others for the Kingdom and for membership in First Baptist.

James

James, Jesus' own brother, started out as a skeptic. See how one glimpse of the resurrected Savior turned an unbeliever into a disciple. Bible scholars compare James to the prophet Amos. In other ways, James more closely resembles the Book of Proverbs than any other New Testament book. Join us for this 8 week study led by Susie Corbett in her home.
