The singles ministry of First Irving attempts to reach all singles at all ages and all stages of life. Through bible study, missions, and fellowship singles can enjoy friendships, spiritual growth, and ministry opportunities. Come and join us in this growing ministry area of First Irving.

Bible Study Classes

Ignite
11:15 AM | Ignite, Young Singles 18-24 | room M206

The Ignite class is a group of young adult singles that seek connection with a community of their peers as they passionately seek to demonstrate their faith in a meaningful and relevant ways. With a determination to face head-on the challenges of all young adults, they are dedicated to being people who live authentic lives grounded in faith. David and Christi Jones are the directors of this class.

The Road
11:15 AM | The Road, Young Singles 25-35 | room M210

The Road meets at 11:15 a.m. on Sunday mornings in room M210. It is a group of mid 20 and 30 something singles that meet for encouragement, bible study, and fellowship. The Road meets a few times a month outside of Sunday morning for outings, fellowships, game nights, movies, etc... Chuck Pope & Elizabeth Wong are the directors for this class.

Radiant Life
10:00 AM | Radiant Life Singles, 40's-50's | room M206

The Radiant Life class meets at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings in room M206. It is a class for singles in the age range of 38-50. The Radiant Life class leads out our SEALS ministry which feeds the homeless every Tuesday night.

The Blessing
10:00 AM | The Blessing, Bible Study for Women Single or Married | room F204

The Blessing meets at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings in room M209. The Blessing is a class for women only (singles or married). This class focuses on the special needs of singles, single moms, or "spiritually" single ladies. The Blessing meets regularly for fellowships and meals. Ann Adams is the director of this class.

The Encouragers
10:00 AM | The Encourager Class, Singles 55+ | room M105

The Encourager class meets at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday mornings in room M105. The Encouragers is a class for senior singles. This class is very active in prayer, in missions, and in fellowship; they realize that God is not done using singles no matter the age! Shirley Brady is the director of this class.

Mission Opportunities

The singles at First Irving have always been very involved in the life and ministries of the church. You will find many of them teaching on Sunday morning, singing in the choir, serving on the media team, and helping in many areas of ministry around the church.

A few years ago it was the singles ministry that gave birth to the S.E.A.L.S ministry. The S.E.A.L.S ministry feeds the homeless men and women of Dallas every Tuesday night. If you are interested in this very practical expression of Christianity, please feel free to join the S.E.A.L.S team on any Tuesday night.

In the past, the Singles ministry has gone on mission trips, and we hope to re-engage this ministry of missions soon.
