The Senior Life Ministry
The Senior Life Ministry of First Irving is a loving, caring outreach and ministry to senior adults in Irving. Foremost are the Adult Bible Fellowship (ABF) groups that meet every Sunday for Bible Study and fellowship. Groups meet at 10:00 AM following the Classic Worship Service which begins at 8:45 AMWeekly

Evergreen
Evergreen Ministry is a vital part of First Irving's ministry to seniors. This group of senior adults meets every Tuesday morning throughout the year at 11:30 AM for prayer, fellowship, food, and a program. (The group
does not meet during the Christmas holidays). The cost for a great meal prepared and served by our Food Service Ministry is nominal. Jane Norman is the ministry leader of Evergreen. For further information, contact our Senior Adult Pastor, Wayne Watkins, Jane Norman, or by calling the church office.
Homebound Ministry
The Homebound ministry is for those unable to attend worship services and Bible study on Sunday morning for health reasons. A simple call to the church office and you can become a part of this ministry as a member of the Homebound Team delivering CD's and gifts to seniors who are presently homebound. If you are unable to attend worship services, call the church and ask to be placed on the list of seniors who receive a copy of the Sunday services on DVD each week. DVD players are furnished by the Homebound Ministry based upon need and availability.
Upcoming Events
Christmas Celebration
Our Senior Life "Christmas Celebration" is coming Friday night, December 2. Steven Mosley will return with a special presentation in drama of the Bible. Tickets are $12 each and may be purchased in the Hub later this month.
January Bible Study
Mark your calendar now so you don't miss out on the 4-day study of The Beatitudes taught by Pastor Ron Durham. The dates are January 16- 19 in the Fellowship Hall. Lunch ($5/person) will be served each day prior to the Bible study. The times are from 11:00 to noon each day. Sign up by contact Wayne Watkins.
Alaska Cruise and Tour 2012
We’re planning a trip to Alaska in June, 2012.The dates are June 20-27, 2012 for the cruise and three additional days for the optional land portion of the trip.
