Children's Discovery Center
The Children's Discovery Center, which has been a premiere Montessori School in Irving for 33 years, is moving to First Baptist Irving. This creative learning school is for 3 year olds, Pre-K and Kindergarten students. The Children's Discover Center (CDC) of First Baptist Irving provides individualized learning where the child is the center of the environment as he or she makes choices, sets the pace and discovers the joy of achievement in a highly challenging academic atmosphere.
A variety of special events will provide opportunities for students with varied talents and interests. We promote family participation and welcome your assistance. Yearly traditional events include such activities as Family Field trips, One Mile Fun Run, Thanksgiving or Christmas musicals, Class Holiday parties, Spring Musical, Mother's Breakfast, Open House, Fun Fair, and much more

2011-2012 Enrollment/Tuition Information
Full-Day (8:15-3:00) tuition is $575* a month for 9 months (Sept-May).
The enrollment fee is $150, supply fee is $200 and August Tuition is $200.
Tuition is paid in 9 tuition payments from September-May, which is a flat rate regardless of holidays, breaks, etc. In addition, there is a one-time fee for enrollment, a one-time fee for supplies, and tuition for the month of August.

2011-2012 Class Times
CLASS TIMES ARE AS FOLLOWS:
8:15 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. Full day Pre-K class for three and four-year-olds
8:15 a.m.. – 3:00 p.m. Full day K class for five and six-year-olds
Before & After School Care
Before and after school care every morning and afternoon, Monday through Friday is $130.00 per month. If you need care either before or after school there is a $65 a month fee.
CDC provides before care any time after 7:00 a.m. until classes begin at 8:15 a.m. After school care is until 5:00 p.m. after classes are dismissed at 3:00 p.m. This service is offered Monday through Friday when school is in session. CDC does not have year-round child care and we do not offer child care when we are out for school holidays.**
Policies for Children's discovery center
- A child is enrolled when enrollment papers are filled out, and the enrollment fee and supply fee are paid. August Tuition is due on Aug 1.- Pre-day care (7 a.m. - 8:15 a.m. ) is $65 a month and post-day care (3:00 p.m. - 5:00 p.m. ) is $65 a month, for which no discount is applied.
- A sibling who is enrolling will receive a 15% discount to tuition only.
- Monthly tuition payments are due no later than the 10th of the month
- Enrollment at any point during the year still requires full registration fee, supply fee and full month's tuition at that present month.
- CDC of FBC Irving coincides with the IISD schedule, including snow days and make up days and holidays.
- There is no pro-rating of tuition, pre-day or post-day care based on holidays, sick days or special events.
*A 15% discount off tuition is reserved for the first 15 members of First Baptist Irving who enroll their children in CDC. This is based on a first come basis only. Please contact the office for more details, questions, and availability.
**If part time care is needed or an adjusted schedule, please call us and we will discuss how we can help you by prorating your fee.
