Pastor John continues a Sunday morning series called "HE IS" as we discover the ancient names of God that have significant meanings for our lives today. Don't miss a week of this series as we seek to know more of who God is! Wednesday Night This week, we continue a new Wednesday night series called "The Timothy Project" which runs from Feb 24 - Apr 7. This 6 week series hands the pulpit to six young, ministerial students; and allows them the opportunity to prepare and preach a sermon to the church. Who knows how God will use these young men in the future! A fellowship dinner is served from 5:00-6:15 PM and Wednesday Night Gathering begins at 6:15 PM 1400 on the 4th! Resurrection Sunday is April 4; and it is coming quickly. First Irving has a goal of 1,400 people in worship that Sunday. Please consider even now a friend, relative, co-worker or neighbor that you can invite on this special day. All three services (8:45, 10:00 and 11:15) will be identical that day and we will have a full orchestra and band for a celebration of the Resurrection of Christ. Follow First Irving on Twitter! Love and Marriage Weekend First Irving will host our 5th Love and Marriage weekend on March 26-27. All nearly-wed and newlywed couples are invited, as is any couple that wants to be encouraged in their marriage. The cost is only $15 and that includes the Friday dinner and the Saturday breakfast. Friday's session is 6:00-8:30 PM and Saturday is 8:15 AM-12:00 PM. Register in The Hub or by emailing Melissa Murrell. Bangladesh Church Join us on March 28, at 6:00 PM, in the worship center for a Bangladesh church experience! By attending, you will be helping support our first ever women’s mission trip to the region. Cost will be $10 adults, $8 college students, and free for high school and younger. You can buy your ticket in the HUB today! Fellowship Meal & Prayer Gathering We invite you to our Fellowship Meal and Prayer Gathering every Wednesday beginning at 5:00 p.m. The Fellowship meal is served from 5:00 PM - 6:15 PM. Meals are $4.50 for adults, $3.50 for students, and $2.50 for K-5th Grade. Ages 4 and younger eat free. Prayer Gathering begins at 6:15 PM, and includes a time of worship, teaching, and prayer as a church family. The Fellowship Meal and Prayer Gathering are held each week in the fellowship hall. FaithWorks Commitment Faith works. It always has. FaithWorks is the name of First Baptist Irving's capital campaign begun in the spring of 2008. We have already seen an amazing amount of commitment from those who made pledges. Our prayer as the body of believers is that as we commit to, and give over the next several years, that the Lord would continue to unite our hearts, keeping us focused on the biblical goal of the Kingdom, and to complete the vision. Now is the time when we can join in the unparalleled opportunity to reach more for Christ in our community. This exciting service uses choir, great hymns of the faith, and special messages through song. Will James in in leadership of worship through song each week. CONTEMPORARY SERVICE with Band: 10:00 & 11:15 AM. This service uses a band to lead in ancient and modern songs of worship. Jared Billups is in leadership of worship through song each week. WEDNESDAYS Join us on Wednesday for FELLOWSHIP MEAL and PRAYER GATHERING all beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall.
