Sunday Morning Series: Ekklesia
Join us this new year we as Pastor John takes us into a new series called Ekklesia, walking us through the scriptures, showing us the the purpose and the power of the Church through the book of Acts!. This Wednesday Night: The Timothy Project On Wednesday nights for the next six weeks, we are honored to hear from 6 young men in a series called The Timothy Project. This 3rd annual preaching series allows some young men who hear a calling to preach to prepare and proclaim God's Word before God's people. A Fellowship Meal is served from 5:00-6:15 and the Timothy Project begins at 6:15 in the Fellowship Hall. A Night of Psalms Sunday night February 26, at 6:30 PM, First Baptist Irving is proud to present, " A Night of Psalms" - An Extraordinary Night of music and worship to benefit the SEALS ministry of First Irving, which feeds the homeless in downtown Dallas week in and week out. Click HERE to find out more! Equipping U Equipping University begins on Sunday Night, January 22 and runs through Sunday night, February 19. Classes will be at 5:30PM and 6:30PM. Classes include "Genesis", "Prophecies of Daniel", "Courageous for Men", "PLACE", "Raising Financially-Freed Up Kids", "Conversational Spanish", "God's Movement in Africa" and many more! Celebration: Southern African Baptist Church We are so honored to begin a ministry partnership with a Southern African Baptist Church called Celebration! The members of this exciting congregation will begin to worship with FBCI in the 10:00 AM service, and will have their own ethnic worship experience and bible study in the Chapel at 11:15. Future Generations Campaign As First Irving continues to move forward, there are projects and updates and needs that prepare us for the future of the church. Counseling Ministry at First Irving First Irving has a new counseling ministry directed at marriage, family and personal issues called RENEW. We are honored to have Julie David, who recently earned her Masters in Marriage and Family Counseling from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary, serve as director of this new, vital ministry. Join us as we walk through this interesting series of how we got the Bible and learn about the structure and inspiration from canonization to translation. A Fellowship Meal is served from 5:00-6:15 and the series "From Him to Us" begins at 6:15 in the Fellowship Hall. CLASSIC SERVICE with Choir: 8:45 AM.
This exciting service uses choir, great hymns of the faith, and special messages through song. Will James in in leadership of worship through song each week. CONTEMPORARY SERVICE with Band: 10:00 & 11:15 AM. This service uses a band to lead in ancient and modern songs of worship. Jared Billups is in leadership of worship through song each week. WEDNESDAYS Join us on Wednesday Nights for FELLOWSHIP MEAL and PRAYER GATHERING all beginning at 5:00 PM in the Fellowship Hall.
